Interpret Visegrad

Development of heritage interpretation skills within the V4 countries

This project fits into KÖME’s longtime effort to advance heritage interpretation as a specific field and an approach within heritage management in Hungary and Central Europe. Together with partners from the region we are elaborating a series of certified trainings covering different aspects of heritage interpretation.

This project is a continuation of a collaboration between KÖME – Association of Cultural Heritage Managers and other members of the international network Interpret Europe. In 2018-2019 we have already successfully organised Certified Interpretive Writer and Certified Interpretive Trainer courses with our partners: the Czech Institute for Heritage Interpretation, the Polish Malopolska Institute of Culture and the The National Trust of Slovakia.

Similarly to the previous project, in this one we also train trainers and organise trainings for heritage professionals in Visegrad Countries and beyond (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania).

In the frame of the project we adapt a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) course to our own languages and different national contexts.

Besides this, a Certified Interpretive Planner course also takes place within the project.
