In June 2023 we participated at Interpret Israel’s conference dedicated to the topic of 👺🐯s̳e̳n̳s̳i̳t̳i̳v̳e̳ ̳h̳e̳r̳i̳t̳a̳g̳e̳☹🐼.

KÖME members Arpad Bőczén and Zsuzsa Berecz shared their views on sentitive heritage related to their several years’ collaboration with the Iron Curtain Museum Felsőcsatár.

In their lecture they explain how sensitivity is a twofold issue, where on the one hand the heritage itself can be sensitive (border guarding / border crossing), on the other hand also the way we connect to heritage is per se also sensitive.

These and others are all sensitive questions which are important to think-with when dealing with heritage.
