COOLTOUR

Millennials for cultural heritage

Is cultural heritage cool? COOLTOUR aims to stimulate the interest of the younger generations to learn about how heritage works, how it is managed and how it is interpreted.

The project, which has been running since March 2022, brings together heritage sites, heritage experts, universities, research centres, heritage management organisations, communication professionals, student organisations and young people from six European countries (Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Croatia and Hungary).

KÖME’s role is to find common ground along which young people and heritage institutions can connect. During the two-year process, a toolkit of methodologies will be developed to help heritage site managers engage with younger generations using new technologies.

The official press release launching the project is available at: COOLTOUR – Initial Press Release
